Turkeys!!

If you know me, then you know how much I love wild turkeys! I live on the south shore of Long Island and we have a lot of turkeys. Back in the 1980's wild turkeys were considered to be extinct on the island but they have since made a come back in a big way and live in several places on the Island.

Most mornings they can be seen hanging out on my street and in my yard. Sometimes as many as 20 at a time. I find them to be fascinating! I love watching them interact with one another, I love the sounds that they make and I even love the sound that their feathers make as they scrape on the pavement. Of course being an animal communicator I had to do a body map with a turkey so that I could feel what it is like in their bodies and it was so COOL! I greatly appreciated that they agreed to indulge me on that one and that I had the opportunity to feel what it is like to have all those feathers!

Now of course living with so many turkeys I am sure you are wondering if I have a turkey feather collection and of course the answer is YES!! I am always on the hunt for more that they leave behind in my yard and in the surrounding area. Turkey feathers have lots of uses such as smudging, stabilizing arrows, ceremonial dress, wreaths and so much more! I must admit I am feeling the turkey feather wreath! I will let you know how it comes out. 😊
